Galeri Cover Designs

Galeri in Caernarfon (Galeri Creative Enterprise), is a £7.5m project that promotes the development of the arts and creative industries in North Wales. Within the Galeri there is a theatre, business units, an art space, rehearsal studios, meeting rooms and the DOC Café Bar (serving locally sourced, fresh produce). As part of its promotion they produce a ‘What’s on’ guide 3 times a year that lists the various productions and events that are happening throughout the year.

 

As part of a set of 3 publications for the year, View Creative were asked to design the final issue, for the Autumn-Winter season of events. The publication incorporates the listings in both Welsh and English, with the Welsh cover on one side and the English on the reverse. My design incorporates the Galeri building along with landmarks and elements of the surrounding area, as well as hinting at music, film, dance and art. The artwork is almost the same on both sides apart from the colouring and change of leaves to snowflakes, depicting the change in the season.
